GO Month - "L" Donations

Let's celebrate Get Organized (GO) Month by donating items A-Z!

To celebrate Get Organized (GO) Month I'm doing a series of posts on items ranging from A-Z. For each letter, I'll provide a list of potential resources for what to do with your belongings if you're ready to donate or sell them.

We're up to letter L.

L is for LEGO

Did you know the Lego company has a program called Lego Replay where you can donate your unused or unloved bricks? You can print off a shipping label from their website and then box them up and get them to the post office. Or you can head to an area Lego store to pick up a shipping label there or to drop off your donation in person.

Another resource is Brick Recycler. They can provide a shipping label if you have over 25lbs of bricks. Here's a video you can watch of Lego from Brick Recycler being delivered to children in Haiti.

The Giving Brick is another site you can ship your Lego to as well.

A few years ago when my own son outgrew his Duplo blocks (the bigger sized bricks for toddlers) I brought them to my local library who was thrilled to take them. If you know anything about Lego, you know bricks and sets can be expensive! So if you know other Lego lovers in your life always start by seeing if they want them and then branch out to churches, daycare centers, schools, and libraries.

Please comment below with other resources that you're aware of or have used before.
