GO Month - "S" Donations

Let's celebrate Get Organized (GO) Month by donating items A-Z!

To celebrate Get Organized (GO) Month I'm doing a series of posts on items ranging from A-Z. For each letter, I'll provide a list of potential resources for what to do with your belongings if you're ready to donate or sell them.

We're now at letter S.

S is for SPORTING GOODS

Here are a couple of national resources for you:

Leveling the Playing Field puts used sports equipment in the hands of those who need it so every kid gets a chance to play.

Peace Passers accepts all kinds of soccer gear.

Here are some CT resources to donate your sporting equipment to:

SKORE (Students Keen On Recycling Equipment) collects new and gently used sports equipment and partners with underserved schools, teams, churches, and communities to help outfit students for sports in order to promote health, self-esteem, and collaboration.

Fairfield County Sports Commission collects "gently" used sports equipment

First Tee Connecticut has its 2nd Swing Club Donation Program in which they take golf balls, apparel, golf bags, range finders, etc.

If you would like to sell or consign your sporting goods, consider these options:

Play It Again Sports in Southington or West Hartford.

Used Fitness Sales in Thomaston (they only take commercial-grade equipment)

Total Fitness Equipment (locations in CT and MA)

Sideline Swap

Please comment below with other resources that you're aware of or have used before.
