GO Month - "Z" Donations
Let's celebrate Get Organized (GO) Month by donating items A-Z!

To celebrate Get Organized (GO) Month I'm doing a series of posts on items ranging from A-Z. For each letter, I'll provide a list of potential resources for what to do with your belongings if you're ready to donate or sell them.
We've made it to letter Z!
Z is for ZIPLOC BAGS
A good many of us have these plastic storage baggies in our home. Sometimes we just buy too many, or the wrong size, or we just want to recycle them.
Here are some local options for you:
Paws Pet Animal Welfare Society of Norwalk, CT is always looking for sandwich and freezer bags.
CT Humane Society has the large 1 or 2gal size bags on their wish list.
The Beth-El Center of Milford is looking for sandwich bags for their Meals-to-Go program.
Hartford Bags of Love was started by a 9-year-old and uses Ziploc bags to make little care packages filled with toiletries, snacks, and inspirational messages for the homeless and less fortunate in Hartford.
Lastly, this is an out of state option:
Treasures4Teachers will take Ziploc bags of all sizes - new or used
Oh, and I had to include this article courtesy of Bob Vila's website:
