A round-up of useful information on hoarding disorder.

As my specialization is working with people who struggle with hoarding disorder and chronic disorganization, I decided to devote a monthly post to all things hoarding-related. Here are 5 things I'd like you to know this month.

Hoarding affects people from all backgrounds and income levels as evidenced in this article: A Look Inside The World of Famous Hoarders.

The International OCD Foundation has a helpful page just for families as they recognize that family members, whether or not they live with the person with hoarding disorder, are affected by the emotional toll of the disorder.

Dr. David Tolin (CT hoarding expert) often shows a similar cartoon when he starts off his seminars on Hoarding Disorder. It demonstrates that as a species, we've been struggling with gathering for a long time!
