Hoarding Hi-5: May 2021

A round-up of useful information on hoarding disorder.

As my specialization is working with people who struggle with hoarding disorder and chronic disorganization, I decided to devote a monthly post to all things hoarding-related. Here are 5 things I'd like you to know this month.

1.

Paper hoarding is a serious issue and here are 4 reasons why paper clutter can be a danger.

2.

Beyond Hoarding should be a Friday night flick on your list. This movie presents a fresh look at hoarding through the stories of people actually struggling with the disorder.

3.

The Center for Hoarding and Cluttering has a great page with an Inspection Checklist that you can download when you're dealing with a hoarded home so you know the areas to focus on for safety.

4.

Here is a wonderful interview with "Dorothy The Organizer." Dorothy Breininger is one of the featured Professional Organizers on A&E's show Hoarders.

5.

This is true for a lot of people! It's called churning - when you move items from one location to another without any effective change.

Please share this Hoarding Hi-5 with someone you think could benefit.

Thank you!
